Coldbet’s cashier is perfectly workable for Zambia. The local side is built around mobile money, deposits start at just 10 kwacha, and withdrawals from 50 kwacha keep the entry point low.
The one obvious irritation is cashing out. Airtel Money is currently the only local mobile-money withdrawal option, while MTN and Zamtel are available for deposits. If you use MTN, that is worth knowing before you put money in rather than discovering it at the withdrawal screen.
Once we had completed verification, though, the actual payment performance was excellent. Every transaction we made for more than a month was instant.
For the broader platform picture, see our Coldbet review
| Payment method | Deposit | Withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Airtel Money | Yes | Yes |
| MTN | Yes | No |
| Zamtel | Yes | No |
| MoneyGO | Yes | No |
| Cryptocurrency | Yes | Yes, selected coins |
The cashier also carries a long crypto list including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Solana and several network-specific versions of stablecoins.
For most Zambian players, though, mobile money is the more natural option.
The limits are one of the better parts of the setup.
You can deposit from 10 kwacha and request a withdrawal from 50 kwacha, so there is no need to load a large balance just to get started.
If you are still setting the account up, read our Coldbet registration guide first. Payment ownership becomes part of verification, so the wallet funding the account should belong to the same person named on the Coldbet profile.
If you have both Airtel and MTN available, we would use Airtel Money. Not because deposits are better, but because it gives you a clean deposit-and-withdrawal path through the same method.
MTN and Zamtel currently work on the way in but not on the way out. That is frustrating, especially for MTN users, and hopefully Coldbet expands the withdrawal side soon.
It also matters because Coldbet’s terms say withdrawals should normally go back through the same payment details used for the deposit. If you deposit through several methods, withdrawals can also be split proportionately between them.
So this is one place where a bit of planning saves hassle. Check the withdrawal screen before funding the account and, if possible, use a method you already know can take money back out.
Yes. Coldbet is not designed as a wallet for moving money in and straight back out. Its terms require bets with total stakes equal to the amount deposited, with qualifying bets priced at odds of at least 1.10.
In plain English, deposit 500 kwacha and you should expect to place 500 kwacha worth of qualifying bets before withdrawing that deposit.
Opposite bets or other low-risk patterns that barely affect the balance may not count.
This is separate from bonus wagering. If you claim an offer, additional conditions can apply, so check our Coldbet bonuses guide before opting in.
Coldbet can ask for proof that the payment method belongs to you. That ties directly into the KYC process covered in our Coldbet registration guide.
Do not fund the account with somebody else’s wallet because it happens to be nearby. The terms allow Coldbet to block or reject withdrawals where the payment details do not belong to the account holder.
Our own experience was much cleaner. Once payment ownership and the account had been verified, deposits and withdrawals were instant throughout more than a month of use.
Coldbet’s terms still allow withdrawal processing to take up to seven business days, so instant payments should not be treated as a guaranteed deadline. But in actual use, the cashier gave us no trouble once verification was out of the way.
If you mainly bet from Android, the Coldbet app also handles the cashier cleanly and is our preferred way to use the platform.
Good enough for the market, with one fairly obvious hole. Low limits, Airtel, MTN and Zamtel give the deposit side proper local relevance, while the payment speed after verification was hard to fault. Crypto adds another option without being necessary for ordinary Zambian users.
The weak point is withdrawals being limited to Airtel on the local mobile-money side. If Coldbet adds MTN withdrawals, there will be very little left to complain about. Until then, Airtel users get the cleanest setup, while MTN users need to pay a bit more attention before depositing.
